Starting a digital invitation reselling business
The Dawaitna Team · 2026-10-08
You photograph a wedding every other week, or you own a hall, or you organise henna nights and katb kitab. Couples come to you while they are arranging everything, and one of the questions they ask is how to send the invitation. The agent system on Dawaitna is built for that moment: you sell and set the price, and we handle the technology.
The arithmetic
Every agent has a creation price, agreed when the account is opened. It is what you owe the platform for each invitation you publish and each two-year extension. You sell to the client at a price you choose, above or below the platform's own. The gap between the two is your profit, a fixed amount per invitation and not a percentage. The pricing screen shows your cost and your margin side by side, and warns you if you type a price below your cost.
Dues are recorded for each page you publish. You settle them outside the platform and can split the payment into parts. Price for your own market: a couple in a small town is not a couple in Cairo.
Getting started
You apply on the become an agent page and we answer on WhatsApp. Once your account is open you make a page the same way anyone does: pick the occasion and the design, fill in the details and set your sale price. Instead of typing the couple's details yourself, you can send them a link and let them fill in the names, the date and the place. You publish, and the invitation goes out on WhatsApp.
What the sales kit gives you
- Links tagged with your code. The site, the demo invitation and the designs. Anyone who comes in through them is counted as yours.
- Three ready WhatsApp messages. A first message, one for after the client has seen the demo, and a closing one, each with your price filled in.
- A price sheet. Your sale price, your cost, your profit per invitation and the cost of an extension.
- A guest list with an entry pass. Paste the names, each guest gets a personal link, and a guest who confirms sees a QR pass you scan at the door.
- Taking over a page the couple started. If a couple began on their own and wants you to finish, they send you a code and you add the page to your account. They can still edit it.
What you follow day to day
In your account you see every invitation and its status, plus what you owe for each client. On each page you made you follow the messages and RSVPs. The "for your eyes only" messages guests write to the couple are visible to you as well, since you are the one who fixes things if something goes wrong.
Mistakes new agents make
The first is pricing without allowing for a discount. The second is handing the page to the couple and forgetting to explain the follow-up code, so they miss the 12-hour window to edit after their first sign-in. The third is typing the English names wrong, so go through the spelling with the client before you publish.
Who it fits
Photographers and video teams, wedding planners, hall owners, a card shop that sees print orders shrinking, a makeup artist with a busy Instagram page. Also anyone near gifts: a flower shop, or a studio that shoots birthdays and graduations. You do not need a technical team.
