A 'together since' page: counting from the day it started

The Dawaitna Team · 2026-10-26

Three together since page designs side by side: a rose on dark red with the names Amr and Nada, a night sky with two stars and a counter reading 7 years, 6 months and 21 days, and a lined notebook page with a heart pierced by an arrow, each with the line a gift from mama and baba

Not every couple counts from a wedding day. Some are engaged and count from the engagement. Some count from the katb kitab, and some from the day they met at university or at work. The "together since" page is for them.

What the page says

It works like an anniversary page with different words. The opening line reads "From day one until today". The counter is headed "together for" and shows the years, the months and the days since the date you chose. Under it, a line says how many days are left until that date comes round again, and on the day it turns into a greeting.

The form doesn't ask for a groom and a bride. It asks for his name and her name, so it fits any couple.

It opens like a gift

Whoever receives the link sees an envelope first, with one button: open your gift. The names and the counter come after it. There are three ways to open it: a photo that develops, a heart drawn in one line, or a record player. If the page is a present from someone else, their name can go in the opening line.

Choosing the date

This is the one decision that needs thought. Some cases:

  • The engagement. The fit if you are not married yet. After the wedding you can make an anniversary page with another date.
  • The katb kitab. Many people treat it as the official start of the story.
  • The day you met. It gives the biggest number, and it is funny when the counter says 7 years and you have only been engaged for one.
  • The first conversation. If you remember it.

The date has to be in the past, because the page counts time that has already gone by. If the two of you remember different days, agree on one before you send the link, since both of you will open it.

What you can add

Your own words, a photo, a song that plays when the page opens, and an optional quiz about the two of you. Notes from family and friends are there too. They are off at the start, and one toggle turns them on.

The best photo is one that says something: the first trip, a picture from university, a tired selfie from the engagement night. A formal studio portrait is colder.

Making one

Open the gift start page and pick "together since" instead of "anniversary". Choose a design. Then one page asks for the two names and the date, and for a photo or a line in your own words if the design is built around one. After that the page is ready to publish, and everything else is optional and can be added later in the editor.

You have 72 hours after the first publish to change anything, or until the day you give the gift if that comes sooner. The page is free for the first 24 hours, and after that you subscribe by Instapay or a wallet. The price follows the design, and the pricing page shows how.

A mistake that repeats

People pick a date, then find out their partner remembers another one. Ask before you build the page, not after.

Next year the counter will read one year more, on the same link.

Which date should we use?
Any date that matters to you both and has already passed: the engagement, the katb kitab, the day you met, or the day one of you said yes. The date you both remember without looking it up is the best one.
How is it different from an anniversary page?
Only in the wording. An anniversary page says 'married for' and speaks of the wedding. A together since page says 'together for' and doesn't mention a wedding at all.
Is the price the same?
It is worked out like any gift page: the price of the design, plus an add-on if the page stores data, such as hearts or a guestbook. The pricing page explains the method. The first 24 hours after publishing are free.
Can we change the date later?
Yes, for 72 hours after you first publish, or until the day you plan to give the gift if that comes sooner. After that the page closes to editing and keeps running.
Who can see it?
Anyone with the link. The page is kept out of search engines, so share the link only with the people you want to see it.
Can someone make it for two other people?
Yes. A friend or a brother can make one for an engaged couple or a couple who have just had their katb kitab. They need the two names and the date.
